Balloon Float Rig for Live Bait From Shore
A simple party balloon can be inflated to whatever size is needed to support your particular live bait (sardine, mullet, bonito, mackerel). Placement of the hook in live bait is important: nose, back, tail or with bridle rig.
Make a single knot in the ballon´s lip to hold inflation, then strech the lip and tie it around your fishing line or leader at the chosen depth.

A second possibility is to attach the balloon with a cord.
